Curriculum Services has devoted much time and effort researching numerous publishing companies and providers who supply educational materials for the public and non-religious private schools. Taking into consideration the needs and wants of home educators we established the following criteria in our ongoing effort to select the finest materials best suited for home education.

The texts were selected based on the following criteria:

þ Work-texts (It has been found studying with write-in texts raises student performance; work-texts are 98% of the texts offered)

þ Visual appeal - textbooks should not be too busy or too plain

þ Cost effective

þ Appropriate and available teacher's supplies for 3^rd grade and above

þ Proper length (too brief - subject matter is not comprehensive; too heavy - presents too much material for the 36 school year)

þ Current content (especially vital in social studies, career education, business education, economics, consumer economics, etc.)

þ Ease of use; self contained write-in texts are preferred; also course materials should not consist of a barrage of items to juggle

þ Self-teaching materials; directions & explanations are found in the student's texts, not in a separate teacher's edition or manual.

þ Sound and proven educational concepts; e.g.: new concepts must be deemed superior & not due to being the latest trend

þ Screened for questionable concepts; e.g.: dictation of social/family values, new new math, sex education, goals 2000

Manipulatives were selected based on the following criteria:

þ Value in demonstrating concepts

þ Child appeal

þ Cost effectiveness

þ Sound educational value based on universal educators

þ Value based on the test of time, not trendy

þ Completes or complements academic concepts taught

Specially created teacher's materials are provided based on the following criteria:

þ To provide weekly course schedules and other scheduling guidelines which break-up course materials into weekly lessons

þ To provided valuable, transferable, and easy-to-use record keeping materials

þ To educate you, the parent-educator, on the how s and why s of home schooling

þ To educate you, the parent-educator, in taking an active role in your child's education without major time commitment

þ To educate you, the parent-educator, on how to teach your student to master course materials using our four step process

þ To provide you, the parent-educator, with techniques on how to become an effective teacher in a fraction of the time

þ To provide each student with consumable test booklets where needed

þ To provide notebooks to accompany courses where needed

þ To provide help on administering tests without fear while maximizing achievement

þ To provide log books to document courses which otherwise would go unrecognized

þ To provide materials list for science activities where needed

Our Policy

Closed packages: (Computer Software, Audio and Video Tapes) Because we cannot accept returns of these products once they have been opened, before opening each product please check its packaging and label carefully to be sure you received the correct product and version. If the supplier’s original packaging and seal is still intact, you may return the product to us within 30 days from purchase for an exchange, merchandise credit or refund (excluding shipping and handling charges), subject to a 10% restocking fee. Return shipping to us is at your expense.

Defective Returns: Call prior to shipping. In rare instances a product is defective. In such a case, we will replace the product with an even exchange of the same item, subject to in-stock availability. Replacement items ship within 24-48 hrs after the defective item is received and inspected by our Returns Department. All products and text based programs returned to us must be accompanied by a valid Return Authorization (RA) number issued by us within 30 days of your original invoice date. After 30 days from purchase we can no longer issue an RA and will refer you to the manufacturer for warranty service. RA’s expire in 15 days after they are issued and cannot be extended or re-issued. All returned products must be 100% complete in original packaging and in resalable condition, with all packaging, software, manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation included. A valid RA number must be written clearly and conspicuously on the outside of the packaging. Incomplete or unauthorized returns will be refused.

This disclaimer in no way alters the terms of any manufacturer's warranty that comes with the products purchased from us. Curriculum Services shall have no liability to you or any third party under any legal theory for special, incidental, indirect, exemplary or consequential damages arising from shipping delays or errors, system downtime, loss of data or any economic loss, damage or expense arising out of or relating to the placement or fulfillment of your order, or the use of or inability to use the products (including without limitation Year 2000 non-compliance), and in all cases our liability is limited strictly to replacement, of the products purchased. State laws vary and certain parts of this disclaimer may not apply to you.

Curriculum Services makes no representations or warranties of any kind and assumes no liability concerning whether any of the products or services sold by us are Year 2000 Compliant. Year 2000 representations and warranties may be supplied directly to our customers by the manufacturers or publishers of certain products. Curriculum Services is not responsible for typographical or photographic errors that may appear in this catalog. We reserve the right to make adjustments or corrections due to changing market conditions, product discontinuations or typographical or photographic errors in advertisements or product descriptions.

Shipping

Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories: Cost for shipping and handling to Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories is 20% of your purchase price.
Programs are usually shipped UPS, two day air. Include street addresses.

NOTE: Depending on the time of year, programs are usually shipped anywhere from one to two weeks of receiving an order. However, during August through October there is a large amount of ordering and shipping delays of up to four weeks may occur.

Sales Tax: Only programs purchased within the state of Florida pay 6% sales tax.

Optional: Because the extra materials offered under OPTIONAL on ordering pages are priced at a low-profit to no profit margin they are available only at the time of purchase of a complete curriculum program. They are not available for purchase at a later date nor are they sold separately. They are offered to fill special needs or as an enrichment to your students’ program.

Each grade level program is designed to used for one student for one school year. Programs are not to be reused or shared with the exception of certain items and teacher’s materials sold with the purchase of a “Twin” program. Call or more information.

By purchasing a grade level program your are agreeing to the conditions of this policy.

Please understand that we do not sell a “box of books” or a pre-packed program. We are the originators of “Complete Customized Curriculum Programs. Because each program is specifically created for the one youngster is ordered for much time and work is involved. Our name Curriculum Services aptly describes what we are all about.
